Autopsy Center’s initial consultation process is unique and family-centered. While some autopsy service are fax-a-form to request and autopsy, we pride ourselves on understanding your experience and your needs. This takes expertise during a dedicated call. We will listen to and processes your experience with you to best decide if an autopsy can help; and, if so, what type of autopsy to perform. We partner with you.

Over the years, we have learned that many families feel better simply from talking through the medical aspects of a loss. And will feel a sense of peace just from talking. In these instance, families will then not need or request autopsy — which is the right decision for them. We know we have saved countless families the unnecessary stress and expense of ordering and paying for an autopsy when, for them, it is an unnecessary procedure on their loved one.

Because we spend a great deal of time in these consultation and counseling services; and to ensure we can continue to offer the level of support we do — there is now an initial consultation fee of $250 that accompanies any request for service. Thank you.
